Thomas Wahlroos is a professional poker player from Finland. His dad is one of the richest mens in Finland Bjorn Wahlroos who is a succesful banker. Before Thomas started playing online poker professionally he use to be an investment banker himself, outside poker he has been in the news headlines because of expensive speeding tickets.

Thomas Wahlroos got his first major live poker tournament cash in 2006 when he finished 10th in the European Poker Tour Monaco event for 33,500?. 2006 was overall extremely good year for him in the poker tables as he got over dozen cashes from international tournaments. Thomas got his biggest score for the year in June when he was 3rd in a World Poker Tour Paris tournament losing only to Danish Christian Grundtvig and Finnish Jani Sointula, for his 3rd place finish he got 243,750?.

In 2007 Thomas Wahlroos got his first tournament cash from the same place as in 2006, Monaco, this time he was 34th in the 10,000? EPT Main Event. Just a month after that Thomas was 7th in WPT ME in Vegas which was good for a $278,465. In 2007 he also managed to finish twice in the cash in World Series of Poker tournament including one 9th place and one 14th place finish.

2008 has been bit slower year for Thomas as in November, 2008 he has only two cashes from live tournaments.

In total he has more then $1million in live tournament wins.
