Mika Paasonen got his first recoded live poker tournament cash 2006 when he finished 25th on a 2,000€ tournament in Austria. However it was around a year later when he truly began making some waves in the live poker world. In the 2007 European Poker Tour Barcelona event Mika managed to make his way in to the final table with a decent chip stack. And in the end he took respectable 4th place in this 7,700€ event, the 4th place was good for over 300,000€ payday. In the spring of 2009 Mika got his first major live poker tournament win. He managed to win the 2,000€ Malta Poker Series main event for almost 30,000€. During the 2009 World Series of Poker Mika finished 2nd in a $2,000 no limit holdem WSOP tournament. For his great WSOP result Mika was rewarded with over $300,000. As of summer of 2009 Mika Paasonen has won over million dollars from live poker tournaments.
