Max Pescatori

Max Pescatori is an Italian native and is often showing his heritage by wearing colorful Italy scarf’s over his head or by having Italian football jerseys on. Some call him the Italian pirate. Max is one of the most successful Italian tournament poker players and has tens of international live tournament cashes.

Max had his first tournament cash in 2002 and in 2003 he won his live tournament the buy in for the tournament was only $300 but it netted Pescatori almost $25,000. In 2004 Max’s tournament success continued with many tournaments cashes mostly from United States including two finishing twice in the top 30 in the World Series Of Poker. In 2005 he did even better and scored 5 WSOP cashes including one 5th place finish for almost $70,000.

2006 was when he really became known name in the poker circles. It was 7th of July when Max won his first WSOP bracelet in the $2500 No Limit Holdem event for his magnificent work Pescatori got $682,389.

In 2007 Max won tournament in his native country Italy for over 100,000?. Otherwise the year might have been bit disappointing for him.

2008 seems to be great year for Max as he has already over $500,000 in tournament winnings including two first place finishes, with the other being $2500 WSOP Holdem/Omaha even where he won his 2nd bracelet and almost $250,000.

When Max plays cash games poker he enjoys limit holdem and especially Pot Limit Omaha, you can often catch him playing $10/$20 or even bigger short handed PLO against tough players.
