Jeff Lisandro

Jeff Lisandro is one of those poker pros who despite of enjoying great success goes a bit under the radar. Jeffrey Lisandro, from now on Jeff Lisandro, was born Perth, Western Australia over 40 years ago. However these days he lives in Italy and Las Vegas. Jeff got started in poker when his mother taught him how to play poker back when he was only 5 years old. When Jeff grew a bit older he began playing cash game poker regularly.

One of Jeff’s most famous nick names is IceMan.

Jeff Lisandro and Poker Tournaments

Jeff scored his first cash finish in a live poker tournament back in 1995 when he managed to take the 6th place in a £300 Festival of Poker tournament which took place in London. For his 6th place Jeff was rewarded £1,200.

Only a few months later Mr. Lisandro managed to take his first victory in a poker tournament Master Classics of Poker tournament in Amsterdam for $13,000.

Jeff Lisandro is a regular face in the World Series of Poker tournaments and his first WSOP final table finish dates all the way back to 1997 when he was 7th in a $3,000 pot limit holdem tournament. However after that he had to wait 7 years for his next WSOP final table which came in 2004, the year that can be seen as Jeff Lisandro’s breakthrough year to the top of the poker world. During the 2004 WSOP Jeff made the final table three times, and took home 2 3rd place finishes and almost $200,000 in prize money. In 2004 Jeff also managed to win two major poker tournaments and in total he won during 2004 almost $500,000.

However this wasn’t enough for him and in 2005 Jeff Lisandro won for the first time in his poker career over $500,000 from live poker tournament

Jeff’s amazing run continued in 2006 when he finished on 17th place in the WSOP Main Event tournament, and became a well known name in the poker world after his argument with Prahlad Friedman.

In 2007 Lisandro finally got his first WSOP bracelet when he managed to win the $2,000 7 card stud for over $100,000. During the 2007 Jeff also took home a 2nd place in a $5,000 WSOP tournament.

Jeff Lisandro’s second WSOP bracelet came in 2009 when he again won a 7 card stud WSOP tournament. During the 2009 World Series of Poker he also won second WSOP tournament. The second win came from a $10,000 seven card stud hi/lo tournament for winning it he was rewarded with over $400,000.

As of today Jeff Lisandro’s live poker tournament cashes exceed 3million dollars and he is in the top 80 on the all time money list. He also leads the all time Italian poker player money list.
