While it might be hardly news worthy that Phil Hellmuth is trash talking, it is always entertaining to read about his ridiculous behavior.
During the $2,000 limit holdem event Phil Hellmuth several other players decided to focus on running their mouth instead of actually trying to succeed in the tournament.
It all started when Mike Thorpe was seated in the same table with Phil Hellmuth. Right after these two chumps were seated in the same table they began exchanging words, and based on the looks of it Mike Thorpe put up a good fight, but in the end the king of trash talking Phil Hellmuth won the first round. When Mike was moved to a new table the round two began, in his new table Mike Thorpe began talking about his “bodily functions”.
Not to be outdone by this Phil Hellmuth decided to challenge Alex Keating to trash talking. However, when Alex Keating actually said something back to MR. Hellmuth, Phil felt like it was appropriate to call the floor.
So, in a true Phil fashion as long as he is doing the talking and “winning” in the trash talking it is fine. However, when someone says something back to the MR Poker Brat it is time to get the tournament directors involved and have them shut up the other person.
Possible the most legendary comment done by Phil during the fiasco was: “I know this is the price of fame, but my God,”
