It was announced today that extremely popular Finnish poker player Ilari Sahamies aka. Ziigmund will be partially financing movie about Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim who was the Finland’s commander-in-chief during the World War II. Mannerheim later became the 6th Finnish president of Finland and is widely regard as a hero in Finland. The movie about him has been in the works for a long time but due to constant financial problems is has until now been uncertain if the movie is ever actually going to be filmed.

Now today the producer of the movie, Markus Selin, announced that the movie is certainly going to happen and the plan is to start shooting on 23rd of August. Ilari Shamies alongside with business man Harry “Hjallis” Harkimo is one of the biggest backers of the movie.

It remains to be seen if his golden touch works also in the movie world, and if any one his legendary one lines somehow make it to the movie.
