The 2nd season of the popular European Masters of Poker (EMOP) series has finally started. This season the first leg of the tour takes place in Bulgaria. To be more specific, it takes places at the popular tourist destination, SunnyBeach. The total player number in the main event was a slight disappointed for many of the people involved in organizing the tournament. Only 260 players came to play the tournament. And with a buyin of only 1,000€ the first prize in this tournament is less than 60,000€ – certainly a disappointing amount for a this much hyped tournament. However, if you are planning on playing EMOP events in the feature there is no reason to worry. It is expected that the player numbers (and at the same time the prize pools) go significantly up once the summer ends in northern Europe and people will be more interested in playing poker in warmer countries.
